2024 Annual Meeting Recap

Meadowland Farmers Coop held their Annual Meeting on Monday, November 25th at the American Legion in Lamberton. Over 175 people were in attendance.
Member/Owners were updated on another good year for the Coop with over $9.2 million of Local Income and $15.9 million of Total Income realized for Fiscal 2024. Director elections were held with Brian Schmidt of Renville, and Terry Quiring of Lamberton elected to open Director positions. Mark Meulebroeck of Russell was reelected to the Board of Directors.
George Landuyt Jr. and Steve Nelson were recognized and thanked for their years of service to the Board of Directors of Meadowland Farmers Coop as they have decided to retire from the Board. George served on the Board for 36 years and Steve served for 28 years.
Members were also informed that Meadowland is going to retire over $3.2 million in local patronage to its Member/Owners which will put Meadowland at a ten-year revolvement of local patronage.
Brian Hicks, Meadowlands Board President, commented, “Meadowland is committed to getting cash back to our Member/Owners to allow them to share in the success of their Coop! We feel the ten-year revolvement is important to allow our Member/Owners to realize that their Co-op is committed to getting their share of the profits to them in a timely manner.”
