Meadowland Farmers Coop

Meadowland Farmers Coop, headquartered in Lamberton, MN, has completed their search for the next General Manager of the cooperative. After a search conducted by Hedlin Ag Enterprises, the Board of Directors have selected Darin Abel to be the next General Manager. Darin is the current COO of Meadowland Farmers Coop and will be replacing retiring General Manager, Mike Trosen. Board Chairman Brian Hicks states, “Darin will help us continue the success we have had as a cooperative now and into the future.”

Darin says, “It is a great honor to be entrusted to lead this cooperative – we have a fantastic employee base dedicated to serving our patrons.” The transition will take place over the next few months as current GM Mike Trosen’s retirement date is set for January 2nd. Board Chairman Brian Hicks explained, “When we started our GM search, we wanted a timeline that gave us a smooth transition in the leadership of your cooperative. Hiring from within Meadowland gives us a longer transition that will allow Mike as GM, and Darin as COO, to work together making the GM transition.”
